The Remedy Breakthrough for Stubborn Acne Scars
Atrophic acne scars—especially those that are deep, tethered, or longstanding—require a specialized approach. While treatments like microneedling, lasers, and resurfacing can dramatically improve skin quality, some scars need to be addressed at a deeper, structural level to unlock lasting transformation. This is where Scar Lift (Cannula Subcision + Biostimulator) comes in.
Our latest addition to Remedy’s acne scar treatments is designed to target the root of stubborn scars, combining physical scar release with regenerative stimulation to restore lost support in the skin. Using a bi-level blunt cannula subcision technique, we treat multiple scar layers precisely and safely, while supporting long-term tissue rebuilding.
If you've been working to improve your acne scars and want a more powerful, collagen-driven approach, this may be the solution that completes your journey.
What Is It?
Scar Lift is a dual-action treatment tailored for tethered, rolling, and atrophic acne scars—the kind left behind after inflammation damages both collagen and fat in the skin.
Step 1: Bi-level Cannula Subcision
A fine, flexible blunt cannula is maneuvered beneath the skin to gently release fibrous bands tethering the scar from below. This allows the skin to lift and heal in a more even, natural plane. The bi-level approach enables both superficial and deeper scar remodeling with minimal trauma.
Step 2: Biostimulator Delivery
After releasing the scars, a regenerative biostimulator is delivered into the subcision planes. This activates the skin’s natural collagen-building response, helping to fill in atrophic depressions, improve scar texture, and refine the quality of the surrounding skin. Over time, the treated areas appear smoother, more even, and visibly rejuvenated.
Why It Works
Atrophic scars are the result of tissue loss and dermal anchoring. Surface-level interventions may not fully address these root causes. This treatment is designed to go beneath the surface—mechanically releasing scar tension while biologically stimulating skin repair. By combining release and regeneration, we achieve greater lift, smoother skin, and longer-lasting improvement—layer by layer.
The Benefits
- Releases the root of the scar. Gently releases fibrous bands that anchor scars from below, softening visible depressions.
- Reaches both superficial and deep scar layers. By using a bi-level precision technique with a blunt cannula, it delivers more coverage with fewer punctures and minimal downtime.
- Boosts natural collagen production. Stimulates your skin’s regenerative response for continued improvement weeks after the procedure.
- Improves texture, elasticity, and skin density. Skin looks and feels firmer, smoother, and more even.
- Effectively targets stubborn, longstanding acne scars. Ideal for scars that haven’t fully improved with treatments like microneedling, lasers, or peels.
- Comfortable and minimally invasive. Reduced risk of bruising and less trauma compared to needle-based techniques.
- Pairs well with resurfacing and regenerative scar treatments. This procedure can be teamed up with other scar procedures to improve efficiency and create a combined effect.
A Combined Approach to Complete Scar Correction
While Scar Lift provides a strong foundation by addressing the root structural cause of atrophic scars, the best results are often achieved through a multi-modal approach, especially for complex or mixed-type scarring.
To enhance outcomes, your Remedy doctor may recommend combining this treatment with:
- 360° Acne Scar Treatments. A comprehensive, personalized plan that may include needle subcision, TCA cross, custom peel, and microneedling—tailored to your specific scar pattern and skin type.
- RFM Synergy. Radiofrequency microneedling combined with gold-standard scar revision techniques to refine skin texture, boost collagen, and target residual pigmentation or skin laxity.
- CO2 Laser. For skin resurfacing and tone correction, often enhanced with skin boosters to maximize recovery and results.
- Scar Filler. Selectively used in cases of severe atrophic scarring where added volume or support is needed in specific areas
Your Remedy doctor will guide you through the most effective treatment sequence to ensure safe, gradual, and visibly transformative results.
The Treatment
Pre-treatment
The treatment begins with an in-depth consultation and a thorough scar assessment with a Remedy doctor to ensure a personalized approach. To maximize comfort, a local anesthetic is applied before the procedure, with oral analgesics available as an additional option if needed.
Treatment
After applying local anesthesia for your comfort, your doctor will create a small entry point to gently guide the cannula beneath the skin. Using a precise, sweeping motion, the scar tissue that anchors acne scars is released. Once the area is treated, a biostimulator is delivered into subcised areas to support skin regeneration and improve texture. This process is repeated in other targeted areas to ensure balanced, comprehensive results across the face.
Post-treatment
Bruising, swelling, and tenderness are common after the procedure and typically resolve within 3 to 7 days. Patients are advised to avoid washing their face for the first 24 hours to support optimal healing. A post-care cream will be provided, along with detailed aftercare instructions to guide your recovery. Depending on your Remedy doctor’s evaluation, antibiotics may also be prescribed as part of your care plan.
When Will I See Results?
Most patients follow a standard protocol of 2-3 treatment sessions spaced one month apart. However, additional sessions may be recommended depending on the severity of your scars, your skin’s overall condition, and your desired outcome.
- Week 1. Your skin starts its natural healing and collagen renewal process after your first session
- Weeks 2-3. The skin feels noticeably smoother and softer. Early improvements begin—scars appear shallower, texture becomes smoother, and natural plumping starts to take effect.
- After 1 month. This is the ideal time for your second session. Collagen activity increases further. Skin appears firmer and more even, with more defined improvements in scar depth, texture, and tone.
- Months 2-3. With both sessions complete, skin continues to remodel beneath the surface. Scars become less visible, texture refines further, and overall tone and firmness continue to improve, revealing a visibly smoother, more balanced complexion.
The Investment
The Scar Lift treatment is priced at PHP 35,000 per session or PHP 60,000 for a package of two sessions where you save PHP 10,000. As part of our special launch promo running from July 1 to 31, 2025, each booked scar treatment comes with a free Skin Refresh session.
TL;DR
Scar Lift (Cannula Subcision + Biostimulator) is more than your typical acne scar procedures—it’s a regenerative strategy designed for deep, longstanding scars that require more than surface correction. By combining bi-level mechanical release and biological skin repair, this treatment helps restore a smoother texture, stronger foundation, and more confident you.
